FAQ
This FAQ section addresses common questions about ALPS, including processes, tenant requirements, and regulatory matters. For further assistance, please contact us at enquiry@logparksvc.sg.
My company has chartered private buses to ferry employees to work inside ALPS. Will the bus driver also have to be registered before he/she can drive into ALPS?
Yes, all individuals entering ALPS must be registered once. Their records will remain valid for three years from their last exit from ALPS.
What happens if my employee forgets to register before reaching ALPS?
Security personnel at the ALPS checkpoint will register them on the spot. However, this may cause a delay in their entry and potential traffic congestion during peak periods. We encourage employees to register as early as possible.
Do my employees and logistics service partners have to register daily if they will be entering ALPS regularly or multiple times a day?
No, they only need to register once. Their records will remain valid for three years from the last date of exit from ALPS.
What happens if there are last-minute changes to the assigned employees or vehicles entering ALPS?
The individual can register using the QR code provided in the memo before physically arriving at ALPS. Security officers will verify the individual’s identification at the checkpoint during their first visit.
What happens if an employee does not have a working mobile device or forgets their identification papers?
They can register on-site with security personnel. However, this may delay their entry by several minutes and cause congestion, particularly during peak periods. Cross-border personnel will carry their passports, while those based in Singapore should have their physical or virtual identification cards.
What happens if my employee enters ALPS but exits via the Changi Air Cargo Complex (CAC)? Will they need to make a new declaration?
No new declaration is required. The security personnel at both ALPS and CAC will record those entering and exiting their respective FTZ areas without any additional declarations.
Is there any way to register my employees for a specific period since they are likely to be rostered to enter ALPS?
Once registered, employees’ records will remain valid for three years after their last exit from ALPS. Identification will be verified during their first entry, and no further action is needed for future entries within the three-year period.
Is there a preferred format for photo IDs?
Please upload a recent, clear photo of your employee’s face. This will make it easier for security personnel to verify their identity upon entry.
How about Taxi/Grab drivers and food deliveries into ALPS?
All new visitors, including drivers and delivery personnel, must register on the spot using their mobile devices, or security personnel will assist with registration. This may cause delays, especially during peak periods.
How about contractors coming into ALPS for renovation or repair works?
Companies can register contractors’ workers in advance. Alternatively, companies can provide contractors with a QR code (to be distributed in a separate circular) to enable them to register their workers.
What happens if there is a system outage in the registration link? Will it affect entry into ALPS?
A hotline will be provided for any issues with the registration system. Our vendor has a backend team ready to troubleshoot any problems. In the event of a system outage, security will photograph all personnel entering ALPS and perform a backend match once the system is restored.
Why do we need to register for entry to ALPS?
In October 2023, Singapore Customs (SGCustoms) announced amendments to the Free Trade Zone (FTZ) Act to enhance regulations and control within Singapore’s FTZs. These changes will be effective from 1 September 2024. The registration process helps maintain records of individuals entering and exiting ALPS in compliance with these new regulations.
Is there CCTV monitoring in ALPS?
Yes, CCTV surveillance is in place throughout ALPS for security, operational tracking, and
regulatory compliance purposes.
Who do I contact for maintenance or safety concerns?
You can submit at Facility Feedback form.
What is an In-Principle No Objection (IPNO), and why is it required?
An IPNO is a preliminary clearance issued before tenancy approval in ALPS. It ensures that there are no objections from regulatory authorities regarding the proposed tenancy or
activity and confirms compliance with security and customs regulations in the restricted FTZ environment.

Is ALPS a restricted area? Can visitors enter freely?
ALPS is a restricted area. All personnel must register before entry. Valid identification is required for access.
Are there surveillance systems in place within ALPS?
Yes, CCTV monitoring is conducted throughout the premises for security, operational tracking, and regulatory compliance.
